Literature review: youth and adolescent baseball injury

Two adolescent players who benefit from Spine & Sport Physical Therapy research on youth baseball injury | CANick Magnusson, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, a physical therapist at Spine & Sport’s Thousand Oaks clinic, was one of five physical therapists, each of whom has their Doctor of Physical Therapy, to conduct a literature review to determine the prevalence of specific injuries commonly sustained during participation in youth baseball and provide updated screening protocols to reduce future injuries.  Their findings were published by the American College of Sports Medicine in October 2022.

There are over 12 million amateur baseball players in the United States, and an updated screening processes is key to reducing injury.
