Regional Director
Dylan Steinhauer, PT, DPT, OCS
Dylan is a San Diego native and was born in raised in University City. He grew up surfing and playing various sports, eventually finding waterpolo and swim in high school. He studied Kinesiology at San Diego State University, where his love for exercise and movement continued to flourish as he learned more about the human body. His studies during his time at SDSU cemented his goal to become a PT.
After a year off during which he volunteered in several different setting and spent time backpacking and rock climbing around the world, he began PT school at CSU Northridge in 2017. During PT school Dylan developed a passion for gait analysis and retraining, running analysis, and strength training.
Upon graduating in 2020, Dylan started at Spine and Sport as a “per diem” employee, traveling to over 20 clinics across San Diego and the Imperial Valley over the coming months. Since then he has grown from a staff PT, to Clinic Director at several different locations including Hillcrest, Bonita, and Kearny Mesa where he continues to see patients.
In 2024 he became a Regional Director, allowing him to pursue his goal of promoting clinical excellence and consistently high quality of care across all Spine and Sport locations. He also studied for and passed the OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist) exam in 2024, putting him in an exclusive group of PTs to have this certification which indicates a high level of knowledge in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of orthopedic conditions.
In his personal time Dylan still enjoys spending time with his wife and young son. He still capitalizes on the excellent weather in San Diego to enjoy surfing, rock climbing, running, and resistance training year-round.
